The design is inspired by the shape of a dumpling (a semi-circle), symbolising happiness, luck, and completeness. For Chinese people, the aroma of New Year celebrations often starts with a plate of dumplings. Dumplings, as a successful cultural export, can be found in Chinatowns across the world. What is cultural to one nation belongs to the world; traditional culture is a symbol of a people’s wisdom.
